PIN protection — downloads are protected with a PIN code you set for each session.
Temporary storage — files are held on your device only during the active sharing session.
Auto-expiration — all shared files disappear automatically when the session expires.

File Handling

When you share files through FlashDrop:

Local processing — files are processed and served locally from your device.
No upload — files never leave your local network or device.
Automatic cleanup — files are deleted when the sharing session ends.
No permanent storage — nothing is stored on external servers or cloud services.

Permissions

FlashDrop may request the following permissions:

Photo library access — to select photos and videos for sharing.
Document access — to select documents from your device.
Local network access — to enable file sharing between nearby devices.

These permissions are used only for core app functionality and are never used to collect or transmit data.

Third-Party Services

FlashDrop does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app operates independently without external dependencies.
